Clearly the weakest of the "Anthology" horror films. The first story was actually laughable , the 2nd slightly better, Joan Collins stars in the 3rd was enjoyable but again laughable, Voodoo story in the 4th was quite good and odd to see Kim Novak in this. Overall a waste of everyone's time because of a lazy script.
The Man Who Could Cheat Death 1959 **
One of the Hammer studio's weaker moments in the late 50's. Arnold Marlé is fantastic as the mentor scientist.
The Skull 1965 ***
Superb atmospheric film about a collector of witchcraft antiques who is haunted by the presence of a skull. One the better films to come out of the 60's British horror boom.
The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad 1958 ****
This film that kicked off the Greek mythology/ Sinbad series in association with stop animation legend Ray Harryhausen. One of the best in the series.
Blood Beast Terror 1967 **
Shows promise but budget is simply too low to rise above.
Moth like monster looks good as well as Cushing giving solid performance as always.
Moth like monster looks good as well as Cushing giving solid performance as always.
The Vampire 1957 ***
Solid low budget vampire tale. Copy of the Fly with scientist fusing bat blood with human. Collen Gray good.
